I'm not really a hunter... leaning comp pro 24" being slightly cheaper

I almost can't believe I'm asking, it's a first, but why do you feel the need for another?

If you have a 1301 Mod 2, the auto box is ticked, no? I just shot trap on Sunday with mine (Modified Choke tube) and it performed really well. As well as my trap gun as a matter of fact. It's also a slug spitter and buck chucker it's literally everything. I can only imagine getting another auto would only be a step down. A devolvement.

Longer barrel for target shot run a +2" light mod or mod choke. Blast hand thrown clays. Mod 2 is 18.5"

Guns heat up while shooting need two. 2 is 1 anyways.

The benelli nova will take a back seat.

You do you boo, but slap an Aridus heat shield on the 1301 and keep it running?

I didn't think the short barrel would be effective at trap. Add that to the stock ghost ring rifle sights and I thought there's just no way. I was wrong.

I was shooting s hit range trap loads. Lightweight garbage, and it was smashing birds. The elongated forcing cone does amazing things with shot.

Your safe can always use another beretta! I have a bit of a problem lol currently have an og beretta A391 xtrema, A391 xtrema2, A400 xtreme unico, A400 xtreme plus, A400 xcel sporting, Gen 2 1301 tac and A300 Ultima patrol. Taking a quick break while on the hunt for my first benelli (M4) but I will be back.

If I could only have one it would be the A400 xtreme plus. It's truly a do all shotgun. It's put game in my freezer, many perfect rounds of skeet and have used it in 3 gun.

The 400 Xtreme plus is the best shotgun I’ve ever owned. It’s what brought me to my 1301T Mod 2. Which is also a great gun but I agree with everything you said. Curious what you’ll think of the M4.

Well I added one to my safe. Beautiful gun, very smooth operation but Imo, the 1301T is a faster, more agile firearm. I don't think you could go wrong with either however, if I could only have one it would be the 1301. I will keep the M4 as it's such an iconic firearm but the beretta will come out more often than not.
