I'm the same way.
22-250 though, and just putting the parts together for it. Should be good in a couple weeks.

If you find somewhere let me know, and I will do the same :)
 
Thanks for volunteering, hakx, R-von, Cummins4x4, and Bull's-Eye. People please PM them directly with your requests for shooting locations. That's what this thread is all about, getting shooters in contacts with gophers!
 
My son and I are going to Montana this summer...Where I pay to shoot gophers!:p

Life is rough for wet coasters.
 
Just saw the first vermin of the year today IN south Edmonton. Have a couple of .22s and would like to try my hand at gopher shooting as well. May go out just south of Edmonton with another shooter this week; will report what we find and where we went.:)
 
finaly got time on friday to swing by the farmer's store to see if anyone was interested in my add, talked to the owner, he had to take the sign off becasue too many costumers were compaining:( too many urbanites come over to buy their bird feed and didnt like the idea that there are people that kill animals (even though my add didnt say anything about killing):jerkit:

ohh well, im pretty sure that me buying few hundred pouds of corn and oaths in fall time doesnt bring as much $ for the guy as the flip flop wearing hippies looking for a deal on bird crapping material, cest la vie

time to look further north for a store or farmers themselve
 
Are there good places around Winnipeg to go gopher shooting or do you need permission from land owners for the most part? I wonder if my uncle would like to go out and do this sometime.
 
A bud said that there was a post from someone in the Smokty Lake area with gophers.

Can't find it with the search engine.

If it gets noticed here, or if someone has better luck with the search function... I'd like to make contact.

That was on the Alberta outdoorsman forum, I pm 'd the guy and he figures he already has enough guys coming out. You got to a think if there are a pile on his place that his neighbors must have some as well. FS
 
Ayup. Found the post over there. Fella that had told me he'd seen it here, told me he'd misinformed me.

No harm, though. Was planning to do some recce work in the next few weekends, and seeing what can be found closer in to local.

Any one in the calgary area need help shooting gohpers i would love to come out and do it or if any one wants a shooting buddy im free on weekends
