I think I would go for a 18.5 without barrel shroud, and have a machinist make a MP5 SD lookalike shroud:

You guys realize these guns aren't in production anymore right? There won't be an unlimited supply. IRG has said that longer barrels and shrouds are in the works.
I would suggest that if you want one, buy it then get a barrel and shroud upgrade later.
Or you may not get anything.
Hand guards and stocks will be a custom job that you may need to do yourself or hope some one builds something for.

Why the f**k can't anyone make these with a curved mag?? It's iconic!
Does the "HK slap" work for these charging handles as well? It feels really satisfying doing it on MP5.
Different. But the nitescout version does. That one needs the lab's approval. It's a Lusa based design.
Interested in a non restricted version with a normal lenght barrel kicking around in the box and a rail on top.
What is the possibility of brining in the NiteScout 9mm. Apparently it is a product improved variant of the Lusa and takes UZI mags and uses HK drum sights.

Working on it but RCMP approval could take 2-3 years..

Would be nicer with a heavier barrel.
