how did you like your NEA product?

The VZ parts I have are all of above average quality. Well machined and finished. Zero complaints with them. However, I haven't ordered anything from their website direct until a week and a half ago. My CC was charged but as far as I can tell, the part has yet to be shipped. Waiting to hear back on my order status email. Have to admit I was hoping for a little faster service. I guess I'm spoiled by the fast shipping I've gotten from other CGN sponsors like Epps, Wolverine Supplies and One Shot Tactical Supply.

NEA 7.5" barrel - gas block fits nicely, doesn't tumble bullets, was VERY tight fit into the upper (hammered in with rubber mallet), good finish, overall I'm very happy with it.

NEA tac-latch - fits in a generic chrg-handle fine, works as intended, finish was good except the sharp edge on the inside of the square handle (filed a bit & it's perfect).

I voted average, simply because this is the 1st AR I've owned... Not handled or fired though. ;)

The subject line is kind of misleading: "Have you ever bought an NEA product?" But there's no option for "still waiting for NEA to get their s**t together before taking the plunge".

This sums it up ^^^^. except I would have said "still waiting for NEA to give a sh!t enough to actually test a product before shipping before taking the plunge.

I purchased 2 of the Tavor full rail systems and both were OK.

I also purchased 2 7.5's (one slab side and one F/A), the forward assist broke off with little or no force and had to be replaced. NEA was quick to send the parts, but even quicker to tell me that it had to have been my fault:rolleyes:...

Both rifles cycle properly and there have been 0 issues since the F/A breakage.
The finish is just OK, but I don't really care as much as some.

I think I got what I paid for.

Have a 14.5" Carbine. Light, accurate and very nice to shoot.

500+ rounds in, including a number of matches. Not a single FTE/FTF. Trigger took a few rounds to smooth out, but that was it.

I am VERY happy with my CQB. Great little gun, under $1100 to my door.

I voted "perfect, nothing could be better" in relation to my experience with NEA.

I have always had good results with their VZ and M14 parts with the exception of the initial run of VZ rail segments that clamped in front the the front gas block (rail was out of spec - they made it right).

For AR's, I've used their LPKs and flash hiders in my own rifles. The FH's were great. The LPK was, admittedly, sub-standard. I understand they have a new (better?) supplier now.

Issues wit hthe LPK included:
-poorly ground sear and hammer engagements
-Ill-fitting bolt stop with too large diameter roll pin
-poorly machined rear takedown pin
-out of spec trigger pin that did not fit properly.

As I said though, they evidently are offering a better product now.

I have also used their AR barrels with great success.

Bare upper AR-15 receiver. Finish is average. Some machine marks remain. Rail is perfect alignment. Barrel install went just fine. No problems whatsoever with function.

Bolt carrier group. Parkerized finish. Looks fine. Properly staked. Haven't tested it yet.

Bought one of their barrels.
Required selective assembly to get correct headspace.
Interesting machinetool pattern on exterior. Don't know if the exterior treatment is a finish. Satisfactory fit of gas block and brake. Barrel extension was good fit in upper.
Shoots OK.

I think these NEA threads have run their course. Enough is enough. NEA is what it is, no need for these threads to continue.
