Have you ever had to 'retire hurt' in your younger days?

Slow down, just don't stop. You have to keep movjng or you lose movement and fitness. Swimming is awesome, low intensity, use lots of muscle groups, low impact. A good mattress, and proper sleep also allows regeneration.

Avoid drugs, pain is your body sending a message, listen. Drugs are a dead end.

Have heard the pain message for so long it is no longer worth listening to. I was busted up in a motorcycle accident in 1999. Off for two years then back for two with lots of morphine. Eventually the company ran me off due to concerns with liability. Getting off the morphine was a true experince in itself after two years of use. Present day am still using a synthectic narcotic to control pain. Have done quite a few pain clinics , distraction procedures , resin injection into spine. Don't wish to burst anyones bubble and you may have a higher tolerance to pain than myself. After twenty years of trying to overcome this I am not quite capable of it. Anybody have a difinitive answer as to exactly what the message is , I'm getting very tired of being told it's all in my head , addicted , out of habit.....
