Have you hated your bolt action?

Yes I hate bolt actions - with the exception of the old milsurps and war horses and those sweet little CZ .22 bolt guns.

I know they are more accurate, I know they are more reliable and I know they are the strongest actions out there...but I don't care. I like guns with character. I love the rattly lever actions and love the old Uberti repros. I love the graceful single shots like the Ruger No.1 - you can get a tack driving varminter No.1 with a 24" pipe that handles like a .30-30 or a Daisy BB gun! My current ride is a Springfield M1A. Even for hunting this thing handles well and everyone that has shot it tends to do well with it too.

I dunno what it is. I look at these new bolties coming out with their factory bedded stocks, adjustable triggers and they can run groups .5~.75 MOA all day long...and they bore me. Just my two cents, if you worship at the alter of the bolt gun - may the hunting gods smile on you and bless you with success.

I honestly like any of the CZ bolt actions. Not just the 22s. They just feel like a well made rifle...

Weatherby Mark 5.
Nicest POS Ever.
As accurate as my 12 gauge shooting OOB at 100 yrd.
The base hole on the receiver were not even align with the barrel: Out of windage.
Ammo cots a fortune
using Prussian blue, 3 of the 9 lug were properly seated.

There have been 2 bolt actions that I started out being a big fan of and ended up hating them after lots of experience hunting with them. The LE No4 action closely followed by the Rem 788 action.
