Savage Arms Model 101. Chambered in .22lr. It is modeled to look like a six-shooter, but it's actually a single shot. A single chamber is permanently attached to the barrel, and the whole assembly rotates off the frame to load shells and eject the empties. It sports a 4.5" barrel and adjustable sights.

[Ripped pic & commentary off the web, however, the one I have is identical. It will be up for sale once I figure a fair market value as it is not in my vein of interest - I got a Ruger Bearcat for my grand-daughter :D ]

I have one of these also and it will be the last gun that I ever sell. It is a pretty cool little gun.

Ok. I resurrected this thread after a search on A Savage 101.

2 quick questions;

Is the barrel length on these include the swing out cylinder? The barrel itself on the one I was looking at today is shorter than 4" but combined with the cylinder part is about 5-1/2". Are these prohib or just restricted?

Approximately what are they worth in say average condition?

Savage model 101 schematics?

I have one of these but I need to get a few parts for it. I think I found a place to get parts from but there are no schematics that I can find to figure out what I need to order. Does anyone have any schematics for this gun or know what the detent/detent housing is. I need the ejector housing but not sure what the detent housing is. There is a detent housing and plunger listed in the parts list as well as an ejector housing and plunger. As far as I can tell there is only one plunger.

Thank you so much! I spent a while trying to find it on Google without luck. This is not a popular schematic. I have ordered only the parts I needed.
