Have you SKS lovers seen weimajack's current lot of unissued, non-refurbished SKS's??

Weimajack, do you do a good bore inspection on your hand picked rifles? I only ask because I bought a 1950, from a local shop not you, that had a very badly pitted and worn bore. Due to the cosmo I couldn't check the bore out before buying that why I ask. I guess if these are unfired then my question is answered but if not could you clarify for me please?

I always inspect non chromed bore before shipping.

Bad bore are very rare with SKS.

If I advertise an unfired SKS, be sure this gun is fully stripped and inspected before advertising.

Hi there,

I was always cureous if any of you have ever bothered to measure the actual bore diameter, say at a muzzle. Having a nominal diameter of 7.62 mm, how unusual is it to see 7.63-7.65 mm on so-called "un-issued, unfired" SKS's?

So far I was lucky to find only one that has exactly 7.62 mm as measured by a pin gage. All others I checked/have are all over the place, mostly in a 7.64-7.65 mm range.

Basically, my question comes to this: can "un-issued, unfired" SKS have a bore diameter larger than 7.62 mm?

I've got 2 coming, should be here by Monday can't wait!!!!!

Monday is here and so are the guns. They are beauties, couldn't have done better if I hand picked them myself. They were even wiped down externally for ease of handling, I just gave 'em another going over with a rag and they are good for the safe. 2 thumbs up on outstretched arms for Weimajack!
