I do not call coyote but I have a home made call we use for crow hunting,I would buy the best fox pro I could afford and maybe spend more than I could afford.You only get so many chances at calling anything in and quality of caller is more important than quality of firearm!

The spitfire is awesome for the money... The sound quality is great and I love mine..m what I will say is if is still was hunting the praries it wouldn't be loud enough... For here in ontario or other non prarie spots it is perfect... It will work in the praries... But you could miss out on a few long range dogs...
You could always make your own as I have done.
Radio Shack does't ship to Canada though, you will have to do a road trip as I find that there mini audio amplifier is key.

I'm waiting on the local sporting goods store to get the foxpro spitfire in and then it's off to the races, they said they should have them in a week or so.
I'm looking forward to having to beat the coyote's off with a stick when I turn that caller on

that's an interesting site I especially like the camo paint job on that rifle and it looks very easy to do, I'm going to try it on my 243 if it turns out ok I may do my 22-250 also.

Ok, so I picked up an hand held caller at Walmart the other day for $10 just for the heck of it, I went in today and tried it out and was very surprised to see that after no more then 5 minutes of calling, right out in the open on the side of the road I was nearly swarmed by crows and a fox came up and sat down behind me about 50 yards away,
now that I know I can call something in I'm going to pick up a couple of better ones the next time I go in to Coastal, so here's my question, what calls (animal sounds) do you recommend? the one I picked up the other day was a distressed cottontail so I'm going to get a better one of those for sure and maybe a couple more.

on another note I was into a thread about custom made calls the other night, some of the calls in that thread are more like works of art then something you'd use

They work...
... I cant say always... but I can say that they didn't make this guy very happy....
