have you used this norinco 7.62x39 ?

just got a few hundreds of loose round of 7.62x39 , the seller tells me its norinco and corrosive .

the casing is bronze in color altho magnetic . the bottom marking are 9121 74 so how does these ammo compare to the czech ammo?

I have gone through boat loads of this awsome ammo. But not once have I ever seen Norinco that was corrosive, not silver box, not yellow box and not defenatly the soft point green box. Further more the casing green, brown and even the brass ones I have seen not one drop of corrosive. My idea for you to make sure that it is not corrosive is to bring tin foil out next time you shoot and see if it rust's. Plus the markings sound weird to me

Yes, that stuff is corrosive. Copper-washed Chinese Military. Came in a large paper wrapped string tied bundles contained in a 720 round tin. It was being sold by IFA Montreal (Century) in the late 80's ealy 90's. I went thru a #### load of this stuff. A little dirty, but went bang every time

Tin foil won't rust, since it's actually aluminum.

Its corrosive, steel cored and not as accurate as the Norinco Silverbox ammo. Not too sure accuracy wise compared to Czech ammo as I am still working through the last of my Norinco Silverbox ammo (I bought several cases when it was still 130 bucks for 1200 rounds...)

I think that stuff used to come in sealed tins of 750rds. Shot well. I think I may still have a tin or two.

I have some copperwash norinco....don't know if it's corrosive or not, as I don't give my guns a chance to corrode (they always get cleaned right away). Assume all communist/ex-communist stuff being corrosive unless it states on the box otherwise.
I wish someone would bring in more Norinco as, in my experience with my AK's and SKS's is that it's significantly more accurate than the Czech stuff (even shooting it in my Vz-58!!--whuich as you know is made in Czechoslavakia). It also seems to be a bit more "dirty" than the Norinco stuff I've used.
