Having my references call in?

Hey everyone.

I keep hearing about how it's quicker to just get your references to call in and get their "interview" done with to speed up the process, but everyone is always saying to get your references to give them your reference number for your application. I've never formally received any reference number myself, so just to clarify, is that the "Application Number" that shows up when I check my license status online by name?

P.S. If it's at the point where my own interview was already finished and now I'm waiting on my references to be interviewed, is it safe to assume that my photo I had submitted was accepted and ok? I'm asking because I took the photo myself and want to make sure.

yep thats the number, and do it, it makes a difference. Basically as soon as the interviews are done its goes to the desk of the CFO of your province.

I phoned after my interview (forgot to ask during) and got a reference number, but I think it might be online. They didn't seem to mind me calling.

I think if you had the interview and nothing was said it's safe to assume your picture is fine.

They usually call your reference right after you done your interview. My first reference was called 5 min after I done.
They couldn't reach my second reference so the lady at the center had me tell my reference to call in for interview which she advice that is the best way to finish the process. I can confirm that the reference number is your application number because I ask the same question when I did my interview.

When they called my first reference they got her right away but the second reference wasn't available, so I asked if she could call in and they said yes, I gave her my ref number and and the 1-800 number and everything went fine after that
