my tomahawk 1800 semi auto 12ga doesnt want to cycle, i am needing help and any pictures would be nice also. i am thinking maybe something is wrong with the gas system so if someone could post a few pictures of the complete gas system so i can compare it, that would be awsome.

You should start by saying what types of ammo you are trying in your gun... Lighter & cheaper birdshot rounds cause the most troubles...

just the standard winchester 100rnd bulk pack, shot #4. i was thinking it might have been cloged gas ports, but there clear. it was working fine, but then it just stoped cycling.

IMHO, try several types of quality ammo... NOT the bulk stuff...

Buckshot
Slugs
Pricey birdshot

Then you can say if there is a problem... As I said before, cheap birdshot IS likely your issue...

P.S. I ran 6 types of ammo through my Kel-Tec KSG shotgun today... Guess which one caused GRIEF? That's right, the cheapest BIRDSHOT...

on the gas piston do you know if there is supose to be a ring in the groove cut around the piston near the top? there is a metal ring pushed down at the bottom of the piston so maybe that just poped out?

i tried diferent types and all worked good in it. it just simply stoped working. i tried it 10 times after that, (including using high brass win shot #4, and 2 federal 2 3/4" buckshot) and it still would not cycle the action. and on the last trie, i even had troubles opening the action. and it is not dirtly either. so thats why i think there is something wrong for it just to instantly stop working like that, and i didnt have any problem befor with it.

Hmmm, sounds like something is wrong, I don't have a tomohawk so I can't comment. I had thought maybe it was ammo related, now it appears that you have tried various ammo to the same result...

What say you guys? What's up with this gun?

Cheers
Jay

thanks for the help anyways. thats what i was thinking out there, but it didnt get fixed, and possible worse since i had problems opening the bolt on the last shot before i put it away.:p:(
