Having trouble seating new 5/30rd mags

Purchased some AR-15 5/30 rd mags off the EE prior to Xmas. Was just playing with them this evening and not one wud fully insert into the mag well to lock.

All are new, clean with light oil. The only thing I can see is that they are pinned on the "side" not the rear rib.

The only writting on them is "IVVI".

Any ideas?............................

I think they may have been pinned by someone who didn't know what they were doing.
Thats my idea.

Is that with or without 5 rounds in the mag?
