Just got off the phone with Gerry from hawke warranty!

My varmint sf in 2.5-10x44 broke internally leaving a black fuzz on my lens on low powers... He says send it to me and im gonna send you out a new one. It's a known issue on this model in this magnification. He says are you happy with the mag range on this scope I say well more would be nicer. Lol

Ok I'm gonna send u a 3-12x44 how bout that? Aaand at no extra charge!

Blew me away. Ill definitely buy another hawke! What a great company and guy to deal with!

Yeah definitely! I really do like the product, seems like good quality. I been using this scope for over 6 months like this now and just thought it was gonna be a PITA to deal with the warranty and junk, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I will be shipping the scope off after work so ill hope to have an update on the service soon.
 
No it was like that when I bought it actually, bought it used. But yes they do seem like good quality. Just hit a bump in the road like a lot of other companies! :)
 
I had one of therer SF 6-24x times on a rimfire for quite some time and was more than happy with the quality for the price on that application. Excellent to hear about that level of customer service being offered. Shows you a company doesnt have to be selling optics north of the $1000 mark to offer support and help to there customers. Thanks for sharing.
 
Thats good to know, because I thinking of calling in for my 4-16x44. Its starts to get real blurry on max magnification and I think the tracking is off abit.

Who did you phone for this?

They are one of the biggest optics sellers in the Uk. This is a pretty big company. I have a 4x16 on my 300 win mag and is very happy with it.

& btw guys, packed scope up and sent it off after work today, lets see when i get the replacement... will try to keep you all updated.
 
I'm not that surprised, there are a lots of these companies around that sell expensive Chinese scopes as well as cheap Chinese scopes. I hope the $500 ones they sell are Japanese at least...
