HAWKE! Holy F! Blew me away!

Well for those who are curious, I spoke with Gerry on Monday, and by the sound of things, I should have my new scope very shortly. Stay tuned :)

Scope showed up at 7:30 this morning. Was shocked it was there as I was leaving or work,
Just shy of two weeks from sending old one away to receiving new one wasn't too bad.

Didn't have time to check it Out this morning so ill update tonight.

Ok guys, so once i got off work and finished all my running around i got a chance to open the package and mount it back onto the rifle.

Couple differences I noticed are the turrets, they seem bigger and more "grabable" also the markings are different on the turrets. im pretty sure the 2.5-10x44 was labeled "1 click = 1/4"" this one says "1 click = 1/4 MOA" which i like better, because thats what i prefer to use with my iSnipe calculator.

Im pretty sure i will like that it has a little more magnification being a 3-12x. and the glass and reticle is just as clear on this model as it was on the 2.5-10 i had previously.
The clicks are audible and crisp, no mushiness to them.

Another great quality product from hawke optics guys. I have nothing but good things to say about this product and the service I received!
If your looking at purchasing a hawke optic, do it!

No I just have a 4-16x44 and I might be sending it back to get checked out so thats why Im interested

cheers

I thought I would use this thread instead of starting another one

I just wanna know if any of you that has the 4-16x44 hawke notice when you get around the 12 power mark that it starts to get blurry or is that just me?

When I was out shooting gophers this weekend and anytime I was at 12 or higher power it started to get very burry. Was really getting pissed off because of it. Anything under was pretty clear. My focus and parrallax adjustment was set right. You guys got anything like this? Im guessing not because Im sure you guys would of set her in already.

Common problem with cheap Chinese high power optics....might say 4-16 or 6-24 but once you get to about the middle of the power range they become unusable due to clarity. It's just a poor quality scope, you gets what you pay for in glass.
Any cheap glass won't be able to handle a 4x magnification range ie 3-12 4-16 5-20. The greater the power range the more care and precision and need for high quality components becomes very critical.
If you really need to buy cheap glass, stick to 3x range like 3-9 4-12.....anything higher like 6-18 will just be unusable due to #### quality.
