Hawke Optics Vantage Scope, 4-12x40 Rimfire, 17HMR Rimfire Reticle, Illuminated

Hawke scopes are a good bang for the buck. They are solidly built. I've had a few of them on hard recoiling spring piston air rifles (and on .22LR's). I wouldn't get too caught up on the reticle being specific for a particular caliber. The mildot scope that is usually seen on the Vantage line (at least those with side focus) will work very well with any caliber rifle.

I've got one of those on an A17 Target Sporter. I've shot it on steel out to 300 and found the reticle matched the round I was shooting to about 1 MOA at 300. I've got a couple on .22LR as well and a .22 WMR I haven't played around with.

They're great scopes on an autoloader for fast shooting in a target rich environment.

I ordered the scope today. Can you tell me what you used to mount it, ring size and if you used a rail?
Cheers
