Hawke optics

Hawke scopes are made in China. That can scare a lot of people away, but Chinese scopes have been improving in quality. Hawke scopes are made so that they will not break when subjected to the vigorous two-way recoil of spring piston air rifles, which have considerable recoil. As a result a lot of airgunners use Hawke scopes. Hawke scopes are relatively inexpensive, many of them have an adjustable objective or side focus (which is necessary to focus on close range targets), and they have reasonably fine reticles, some of them with glass etched reticles. Some of the models are rather long and heavy, especially the ones with 30mm tubes.

I've had a variety of Hawke scopes from my airgunning days and have used them from time to time on rimfires. I did not experience any problems with them.
 
I was quite impressed with the 2 I have . I have one on my deer slug gun and I had a target model both worked flawlessly.
The shotgun scope I still have it’s clear and keeps zero well.
The target model was really clear downside is that it was a little hazy at max magnification but for the price it was worth every penny
 
I put one on a Diana 48 that has nasty recoil for an air rifle. So far it has performed nicely, well over 500 shots whereas I've had other scopes bite the dust after less than 100.
 
I got one of their Sidewinders for the side wheel to use on a spring airgun. Works fine for that, but the glass isn't as good as a cheaper Leupold.
