Hawke vantage sf 3 - 12 magnification

So I was at my local gun store and a scope caught my eye. It's a Hawke vantage sf with 3 - 12 x 44 magnification for $270. Seems like a good deal however I can't find too much info about these guys online. this scope would be going on my Ar15 for shooting anywhere from 100 - 300 yards. What do you guys think? Has anyone heard of this company? Also the model number is 14160 :)

Garbage used to be over the counter scope replacement now it is not mine was a 2.5-10 x50 that was nice but failed they were going to give that scope instead because mine is out of production but luckily the store gave me credit because I had original receipt I had paid 330$ save up for a real optic or use iron sights
 
It actually was not aweful but was very weak the main tube bent, I went to get my replacement over the counter exchange as when I bought it that was there policy but they had changed there warranty which upset me, my friend has had several fail also I would recommend a bushnell over them any day

That's a terrible price as well. I paid the same for the 6-24×44 model from D&L. airgun I haven't had an issue with mine but it's only been on a rimfire.
