I have an Airmax, Varmint, and 2 Sidewinder Tacticals. All started life on my spring air rifles. They now sit on .22's and .17's, and the big one (8.5-25) sits on my .308. No problems with any of them.
I can see .22 cal. holes at 300 yds. at 20 power. (I have old eyes, by the way!)
I'm very happy with mine. I've heard some bad stuff about the 8-32 Sidewinder, so I'd stay away from that one. I'd also stay away from the "sport" line, but they are all a good bang for buck, IMO.

Thought I'd look at them for my CZ American.22 -- don't know much about them -- also leaning heavily in the direction of a Nikon Prostaff Target EFI.
