Building a switch barrel set up on a short action. Will be running SA standard and SA magnum out of a Defiance Anti X with Guarding / AW cut. Manners m5 with mini chassis if that matters. Build intention is a hunting rig but may run ACIS or AW Mags when not hunting, summer training.

Looking at Hawkins Hunter DBM with Hunter Mags vs Gray Ops Precision Hunter DBM and Precision Hunter mags.
Any advice or recommendations on how the Hawkins or Gray Op’s may compare? Pros and Cons of either?

I have read that the Hawkins “rattle” a bit when not loaded up. I have also read the Gray Ops have a rubber dampeners to reduce rattle. Any experience with this?

Hawkins have added rubber stud to their mag so it doesnt rattle when its unloaded but imo its fixing a problem that doesnt exist. I use the Hawkins and it work flawlessly in my 6.5PRC. I load to 2.965 or less. Gray ops make great products but i feel its just a copy of Hawkins for these, i might be wrong. Gray Ops offer a side push release if its what youd like. Cant go wrong with either.
