Sometimes I get into the shower to just pee to prove to my wife how manly i am.
well, she's pretty good about it,the problem[according to her] is I buy but NEVER sell any.The last couple of rifles were a beautiful no4mk1 with the best wood I have ever seen and an SKS which I bought a williams firesite set and a Choate stock-which she DID bring back from the US for me.And I DO have 6 swedes already....when we got married back in 72,we had no money and one rifle-an iron sighted bubba'd 303 that I put a lot of venison on the table with
It's easier to ask for forgiveness then permission.
BTW A few years back I found a full wood minty M94 Swedish carbine in the consignment rack at a local gunstore, but thought the $250 was too much so I passed on buying it. /facepalm.
She probably makes him sit down too!

Understandable problem, simple solution. Buy the Swede 6 mil or whatever lighter caliber for her. Birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, Canada Day, anything like that will do. Just keep buying. Tell her that you want to share with her something so close to your heart. Offer to keep them for her until she is ready to take this next step in your relationship leading up to an FAC. Talk her into the romance of the gun. Don't let her shoot anything with heavy recoil and don't push her into doing anything she doesn't want to do. In the meantime you are waiting for her. You'll either be joined in your passion or you can just wait for her indefinitely accumulating firearms as long as you can keep the romance going.

well,I already bought her a nice new chainsaw for Christmas [the old one was getting hard for her to start]and a splitting axe for her birthday.I figure that makes me a considerate husband-she doesn't see it that way.You just can't please some women-next thing you know she'll be wanting a power wood splitter.She says she's holding a garage sale for all my rifles at the funeral home right after the service and if I buy any more that could be sooner then I think....

I don't have that problem with wives. I just go ahead and buy things, and if they don't like it, too bad. Of course, I can say that because at the present, I don't have one. If you have a girlfriend, they usually don't put up too much fuss.......that is, until they become a wife......then you have a problem.
As far as Trade-Ex is concerned, I have found that their description is quite accurate, and if I see something I might like, then a quick e-mail holds it for me. On the other hand, if anyone within 100 km. of where I live happens to order a rifle from Trade-Ex, I think Anthony asks them if they know me, as I seem to have accumulated more than a few from Trade-Ex.
I have seen something that is underpriced at a gun show, put it down thinking that I should see what else is there, gone down about three tables, and re-thought about it. When I turned around to go back, sure enough, there went the underpriced rifle off with someone else. Now, when I find something like that, I just buy it.
On the lighter side, you might get yourself a Labrador Retriever. When you bring it home, you can tell your wife that "it loves you, it wants to go hunting with you, it doesn't talk back, it does what you tell it to, it lays on the bed to keep you warm at night, and it already has a fur coat." Of course, you might also ask your wife how well she can swim with a duck in her mouth.
The dog house that comes with the Labrador Retriever can be quite comfortable at times, and real men don't mind sleeping on the chesterfield. It's like camping out!

somehow I turned into a gun COLLECTOR because with 6 in my gun cabinet I really can't say I NEED another swede-but that full stocked rifle DID look sweet![not sure if a full stocked rifle actually shoots as well as a regular half stock due to the barrel movement being restricted by the nose cap]
Perhaps the pressure point from the nose cap makes it shoot BETTER!!!! I think you should buy another one, in the interest of science, and start testing them for accuracy.
