Well, on Friday I'm heading up north for a few days of deer hunting. I only have a buck tag, so I ain't guaranteeing anything. The bucks seem to like to stay low until after legal shooting time. However, I hunt alone so I'll see if I can call one up. This year, I'll be using my original Winchester Model 1876 chambered in 45-60. It was shipped in 1886, so it probably has a few deer seasons under its belt. The knife in the photo is also coming with me to do the cleaning and meat cutting. It has a Damascus steel blade and the grips are genuine Buffalo horn. The maker is RBH custom knives and I had him make a modified blade from standard to suit my needs.
