Well, I'm finally going on a hunt for moose and mountain caribou. Going to fly in with a couple of buddies, out of Dease lake. I'm taking my bow, they're taking rifles. The bulls should be responding to calling, or real close to it, when we get there. I'll post pictures when I get back. Good luck to everyone else this fall.

Two words - RAIN GEAR.

I have hunted that country a number of times. It is a lot like hunting the coast; thick bush, dense timber and steep hills. Quite nice once you get above tree line for caribou.

Good luck and take lots of pics, and bear spray.
 
Using a guide? A fellow I know up there has a Large Munsterlander pup from the same litter as mine. Let us know how it goes.
 
I would guess he would be using a guide, unless he's got some BC residents to host him. It is a fantastic place to hunt with great wildlife opportunities. But like Pudel said, bring yourself some great rain gear, and most importantly have fun...we don't call it Beautiful BC for nothing.
 
Since he mentions caribou, he is probably going to the Kawdy Plateau.
Granite Lake? Maybe one of those little lakes along the Nahlin River?
 
BC hunt report

Well, I got back on the 27th. managed to get a pretty good bull moose, 54" wide, and a pretty nice caribou. Going to try to insert a couple of pictures.
