Heading out this afternoon for a coyote hunt and some family issues

Best wishes to you and your family, tough times for sure. My wife lost both her parents less then a year apart, was a difficult time and the best thing for her was for me to shut up and let her cry, I should have bought stock in Kleenex!

Anyways, all the best and safe travels.

Well wishes sent your way Arclight.

Thanks Kamlooky. I'm in Brampton now. Just North of Toronto. I fly to BC tomorrow morning. I can't describe how horrible today has been. The extended family is now coming in to circle the wagons. To those of you with elderly relatives, treasure the time you've had with them. This so sudden I've not had time to comprehend things. Again, thanks for the well wishes.

Don't forget to change the time on your alarm clock.
I know I slept in this morning by at least an hour.

Safe journey to you and your loved ones.

My fiance lost her dad just before Christmas, it wasn't easy for her even though we knew it was coming. Just be there for the wife, be the shoulder to cry on.
I hope you have a successful hunt for the 'yotes and the trespassers.

Touched down at Vancouver this morning and drove to Chilliwack to unload my bags. And then in to Abbotsford. Just got back from the hospital. She is sleeping and has good levels of O2 in her blood. It's a viral infection, and drugs can't help it. The doctors are giving her a 25% chance of getting through this. My wife has been crying all morning. My father in law is in utter shock and is almost in a trance. We will be keeping a eye on him, and make sure he is eating and resting. All the family that can make it out are here. There are a few in Quebec that can't fly due to medical issues. The next 48-72 hours are critical. Hopefully she is strong enough to fight this infection. She gets better O2 levels when she is sleeping, so the docs are giving her adivan and sedatives. When she wakes up she is not lucid and confused. This is so horrible.

I'm with you. I spent 5 weeks with my father in the hospital before he passed. It was a horrible time but I'm glad I got to have it. Arclight speaks the truth...treasure the time you have with your relations and friends. It can come to an end so quickly and when it does there is nothing you can do to get that time back. Guard it jealously.

Update for those that are interested. My mother in law had a good day today. Her O2 levels are good and she was awake and lucid. She is not out of the woods yet, but we are hoping she is over the hump... she will be in hospital for several weeks to recover. If things are good tomorrow, my wife and I will take spend the afternoon in Sumas WA. She needs a little break from everything. Thanks again for the PM's and well wishes.

Good to hear that your MIL is better. Maybe the coyote hunting will pick up as well.

I'll have to wait until I get back to Ont. I did see some tracks on my property before I was called out to fly. So I'll have something to do, till turkey season.
