Heading out this afternoon for a coyote hunt and some family issues

Getting ready to take Mrs Arclight and her sisters to Sumas WA for a few hours of R&R. If anything it'll help take their minds off things.

They are almost ready to go. Yes everyone has a passport. I brought mine and my wife's. My sisters in law have NEXUS cards.

So. We went to the Washington for several hours. We crossed at Sumas. There was no traffic, and the CBP officer was great, we told him we were just going down for a change of pace and to get dinner, and may get gas. Other then that, no shopping. He stamped our passports and wished our mother in law well. Sumas was a little too small for their liking. So we went to Lyndon, and had a early dinner at Steakhouse 9. The food was good. We crossed back in to BC at Sumas and then back to Chilliwack. It was a nice afternoon break. My mother in law is up and down. Some nights she can't sleep and they have to put the pressurized mask on her. I'm flying back to Toronto tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm a hourly paid worker and need to get back to work. My wife and her family are all on salary. My wife and her sisters could be out there for a few weeks, depending on things. All in all she is still in serious condition, but she has not slipped backwards drastically, so that's good. It's still too early to tell if she will make it through this. Anyways. That's the news so far. Thanks again for the well wishes.

Final and good update. My mother in law appears to be out of the woods. She was transferred out of ICU to a ward bed. She is up and able to walk to the washroom and have showers. They will be keeping her in hospital for a few weeks to monitor her progress. It is quite a turn around, a week ago they were giving her a 25% chance at survival. We will be arranging to renovate their home in Quebec, and getting everything they need put on the ground floor. No more stairs for either of my wife's parents. My wife will be staying out in BC at her sisters for another two weeks. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes, especially to the folks who PM'd me. It's like a huge load has been lifted off my shoulders. Again, thanks to everyone for their support!
