20-60x60, on the par, maybe a bit better than those Crappy Tire ones that go for $170-200 and go on sales for $90-100.. Can't go wrong for $40.. A fellow club member clued me in and I figured I'd give you guys the heads up. I'm not by any means associated with them. First time buyer. The rub is that if you're picking up you gotta be there b/w 9am and 3pm.

I bought the 'Celestron Spotting Scope, 60 mm' last week from crappy tire for $85 bucks half off from $170 regular price. Got a chance to take it to the range today and I could EASILY see the 200 yard target at 40x and still had 20X left to get to full capacity of the 60X. I always like waiting for deals at CT when things go 50-75% off. The scope at CT is a good buy at 50% off.

I've owned the Celestron until it got beat up by the ejected shells from the SKS. The one I picked up has an angled eyepiece, which gives you more flexibility and I found the clarity to be a bit better. Makes losing the Celestron feel less crappy as it was a cheap upgrade.

I just dropped by Crazy Dave's and picked one up. I'll give it a try when I visit the range later this week. However, you can't go wrong for $40. Thanks for the heads-up.

nevermind! just found his ebaystore. thanks

Anyone know if you can do online purchase for those cheap spotting scopes? $40 is too good a deal to pass up. Thanks

It's kind of hard to type a report when you still have a pounding headache. ;)

I found it to be on the par with one of those Crappy Tire Celestron scopes. Wasn't wowed but it does the job. The reason I bought this one was because my Celestron lost an argument with my SKS regarding ejected cartridge casings

I took my new scope to the range yesterday morning. I have to admit, for $40 I was impressed. It zoomed in perfectly on my outdoor targets at 50 yards, and on my indoor targets at 20 yards. And, it was easy to focus and remained on target while zooming and focusing using the supplied tripod. This is the first spotting scope I have ever owned, so I can't compare it to other scopes on the market. However, I am very impressed with the scope as it serves my needs.

Try it at longer distances, and report back how far you can see bullet holes in a target.

Just got the last one :). Looks pretty good, tripod is decent quality for the money. Did anyone else get a really crappy pair of binoculars in their box?

this is exactly the same as the bushmaster spotting scope.

except I can return it if I purchase from Canadian Tire but it won't be so easy to return it if I purchase it online

after finding out it was the same, I asked this guy to cancel my order, I get a notice that it's cancelled so went out and bought the Canadian Tire one, just found out today that he never cancelled it and I received it in the mail just now

this is definitely the type of thing that you want to see first before you decide if it's worth buying

now I'll have to return the Canadian Tire one and keep this one which looks more like a cheap Chinese knock off
