Heads up if you're looking for a Russian SKS

Well, I dug out the bulk of my Tulas yesterday and took a pic, the 2 new ones don't look so brown when they're with the others.

Wow, just wow! Beautiful!

Was in brandon home hardware yesterday and they still had a full crate in the back. Me and a buddy grabbed the last 2 from the open crate and got the crate box for free. The one i got is a Tula 1954r.
The "r" means refurb right?

The "r" just means 'year' in Russian. Rebuild mark is usually, but not always, a square box with a slash through it. Though its fairly inconsistent and many refurbished Russian SKSs don't have any refrub marks on them.

They just opened a new crate Saturday, one more crate after that. I took home a non refurb "K" letter in an original laminate stock. Can't wait to see the last crate!

"K" letter guns are thought to be the last ones made, and letter series guns are the only Russian SKS to come with a laminate stock as original equipment. And only handfuls of letter guns got them, most got hardwood stocks.
