Heads Up--Large Gun Auction

It was insane in the membrane! I almost considered listing everything I own for March..! Almost...

I could re-purchase in April and score. I did appreciate the 2k rounds of x51 for $510 plus 13%. Missed out on a 3rd crate for $230.

Picked up an AIA M10 with a 10 rnd mag. I paid attention and got a second AIA 10 round mag for $30.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick up the AIA for?

great price on the second mag!!!

It was more or less a wasted day for myself..all I was interested in was a CZ858 and I was ignored the entire time I tried to bid on them...
Although I did get to laugh my a** off at the prices guns were going for...still...it was like no one there had done their research...watching $200 guns sell for $450+ was hard and the auctioneer in the red shirt was a fairly rude individual...

Yeah, he's always had a very rigid "we're here to do a damned job, now STFU and let me work, or leave!" kind of attitude. He does do his job (selling for maximum $$$) very well though - you can't possibly argue that.

Hordes of clueless shooters with more money than sense and more sense than research go a long way to help him out, though!

I was in the front and they ignored most of the proxies due to all the miss information and missing stuff. I felt bad for the guy who bought the 2 sks with no gas tubes i hope he doesn't try and fire them. Ill say one thing Stuart can auction my stuff any day. He dropped the hammer once the whole day. I was pretty surprised at the lack of knowledge when it came to value.

It didn't seem like too many proxy bids won to me. Mostly people in the crowd winning bids. Some good deals on ammo but not so much on guns.

I think the problem with these gun auctions are that after spending your whole day there, everyone wants to go home with something. I noticed that on the early bids of SKS and crates of ammo compared to the later bids as people are getting desperate to buy something.

Interested in the selling prices for
P17
Jungle Carbine
M1 carbines
Garand
Webleys
Browning HP

Probably hilarious but curious

I wonder how many more $600-$700 M305s we're going to see at the gun shows around here now....

There are a few interesting things in their march auction, but I wonder whether it is worth the time to bother with it.

I got the second M1 carbine for $400. The first one went for $500. I believe I also got the deal of the day. 5 battle packs of South African 7.62 (700 rounds) for $270 including the steel case they came in.

Anyone know what the Mosin M44's went for? I wanted to put in a proxy bid but decided I really didn't need another Soviet WWII piece.
