Heads-up: Schmidt & Bender to raise prices in 2012 by 10%!!

Despite a falling Euro it looks like the people at S&B have decided to capitalize on the market trend and demand for their tactical line of scopes by raising prices by more than 10% this year. Some scope prices will increase by nearly 40% - like the much touted 1-8 Short-Dot, which was originally priced at US$2600 will now be priced for launch at US$3600. Interestingly, S&B don't plan such an aggressive price increase for their hunting scopes.

It's alright.

Schmidt & Bender have been known to price their scopes accordingly depending on the euro fluctuation. One of the only manufacturer to increase or decrease their price depending on the ecomic situation.

The big increase is for their yet be launched 1-8 Short-Dot. The others are rising by appx 10%. Correction posted. Euro is expected to fall by another 10% this year which makes their increase even harder to swallow.
