I recently acquired a 1945 Enfield Jungle Carbine in super shape. The bolt head is a #1 I think.
I fired it 4 times. It shoots well but I noticed that there are burn marks on the throat of the brass about 1/4 of an inch down. Is this a sign of a headspace problem?
Where can I get a tool to measure the headspace to see if it's within spec?
Can I get a tool that will work for a variety of firearms or is it a specific tool for each?
Thanks,
Adrian
