I was wondering if anyone could let me know what the headstamp is on the brass cased Norinco 5.56.
I have some unidentified loose rounds in a .50BMG can, and if it is Norinco, I'll be passing it on for someone else to 'enjoy'.
Cheers!

C for chinese
J for junk
like walmart, we cant get enough.
did anyone notice if you deprime and tumble this brass this gluey stuff can get all over the cases?
some brass, like remington the glue cakes all over it.

There are a few headstamp variations, not sure what you got in The Great White North. Can you describe or post pics of your "mystery" rounds?

I have norinco 5.56

Stamp is C J 95

Why all the hate? It's decent ammo from my experience. No misfired, or problems, and its non-corrosive.
I have found it to be more accurate then bulk AE223.

It’s great stuff fireballs galore and I bought it for half the price of today’s offerings and still have a boat load! I still have some yellow box stuff pew pew

If you look very carefully, you can see that the cartridges have a thin, "rubbery" lacquer coating which isn't completely removed by dry tumbling (even overnight). It is especially obvious on the head after dry tumbling.

I clean deprimed Norinco cases using wet tumble, S/S pins, HOT water. 50 cc anhydrous Citric Acid and a dribble of Dawn for 3 hours. Drain water and pins followed by 2 or 3 thorough rinses with hot water and oven dry on warm setting.

Norinco cases often have a badly offset flash hole, those go to the metal recyclers and the good ones I use for conversion to .300 Blackout because of their nondescript headstamp.

fyi Norinco and Winchester .223 cases have very similar case volumes and weights...

I have the same experience, more accurate and reliable than Winchester, Remington UMC and bulk AE223. I just wish we could get crates at 2014 price

i have some and once i used it,cleaned gun as i always do and oil heavily.
came back a month later and my chamber area the oil was green and my flash suppressor was rusty.
i now treat ALL chinese ammo, even marked non corr.,as corr.
