Heard from Wolverine today

you didn't mention that they have 40 and a notify list of 250. But they are hoping to get more in, early 2009.

Merry Christmas

From the dealer forum section:

AR180B-2 update.

We have just received 40 non restricted AR180B-2 rifles, these come with one 5 rd magazine and the price is $1,145.00 plus shipping and tax. These still have the polymer lower and spot welded scope mount base, there is still no word on if and when a alloy lower will be available.

We have 40 units and a have a notify list of 250 which dates back to Aug 05! We are attempting to notify the first 40 people but if your e-mail address or phone number has been changed you are SOL.

Christmas is almost here, most of us are spent out so we are giving the first 40 until 12th Jan to confirm if they still wish to purchase. Sorry no lay-a-way plans for these, it wouldn’t be fair on the other waiting customers. We hope to have another 50 in a few months. After 12 th Jan if we have any unsold we will start to move down the list.

We will be closed from 24th Dec until 5th Jan and therefore do not plan on shipping any of these until the New Year.

You better get the Ruger for a back up when the plastic receiver of your 180B breaks at the hinge pin like 2 of mine did . My 3rd one hasn't broke & as long as I keep it in the safe I think I`ll be OK
LOL

I dont mean to hijack a thread but last year I bought a ar180b nib from the TSE. I didn't really realize how in demand the rifles where at the time; they had a new one and I bought it (guess I'm a lucky guy)

Anyways, I've only put about 20 rounds through it and its sat dormant.

My question is: How big a problem is the lower receiver cracking with these rifles? Did it just effect a batch? Are the newer ones better (mine was purchased in 2008)?

Even though I dont shoot it much I LOVE the rifle very much.

well, problem is that people in the US do not want muzzle brakes - without muzzle brake the barrel is under 18.5 and it is restricted. Basicly, we have to tag along with orders for places like NY and Maryland when FS is not allowed.

Plus, I heard that DOS only issue permit 50 at a time... blame it on the US.

So you have to match up with the timing of the permit and the production runs...
