Heat shield, 870, 18" barrel

www.mossberg.com and www.atigunstocks.com both have HEAT SHIELDS that fit Remington 870's. Check the advertizers at the top of the page they handle some of these products.

I would not suggest the ATI heatshield. From my experience with it when slugging it out the damn thing just rode up the barrel until it butted up against the magazine tube clamp. Even though the clamp was tight, tight it still pushed on it enough to move it slightly. Also scuffed up the new barrel.

just remmber to tighten the 2 bolts down really good , as it will shift under recoil and mark your gun.
Take the allen key with you to the range for the 1st few times.

I still recomend the Tacstar.
I have 3 of them now, no problems!!
