So I've got a chance to pick up two rifles both are mint condition. The one I'm least excited about is a cooey autoloader with a cheap tasco and the other is a gevarm. The latter is what I'm most interested in, it sport a heavy barrel with a peep front sight and a 8 shot clip. I don't know much about these but the quality seems good on this particular rifle. The guy says I can have both of them for a 150. What should the gevarm really bring? not that I'll tell the guy! I was told these models are kind of rare??? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

How many magazines accompany the Gevarm? These are hard to find. If there are 20 round magazines, these could be worth at least $75 apiece.

Gevarms are a bit different, but are good shooters. The Gevarm with two mags is worth somewhat more than the total for both rifles, possibly $250 or better. The mags are the key no mags, a Gevarm is an orphan.

A Cooey 64 is a perfectly good plinker or hunting rifle.

Assuming these rifles are in respectable condition, the pair are worth double the ask.

20 round mags for the gevarms go for $100- $150. but the 20 rounders fit the takedown versions only. if you have a the heavy barrel version it's non-takedown ( full length wood stock) and it won't accept the 20 rounders. good 8 rounders are atporbably at least $50. The mags for the non takedown are different IIRC If it's the heavy barrel- non-takedown version its worth at least $250. the front sight is known as a globe sight and there normally are spare sight inserts kept inside the stock's pistol grip section.

one reason magazines are scarce is that the ejector is built in the magazine and wears out over time.

I would jump on the deal..

Not true, despite what the orginial ads for gevarm says. My A3 fits a 20 rnd mag in just fine. and I have no feeding issues.

Vince, PM me if you want to sell one of your gevarm 8rnd mags - or even the whole rifle! Id like an A1 or A2 to compliment my A3.

Those gevarms are great little rifles.

The nose on the 20 round mags is a little thicker. I have a heavy barrel model as well as a takedown and my 20 rounder won't fit. I'd
have to open up the magwell a bit. Not saying they don't fit your A3 but that's been my experience...

The magazine for the rifle has A7 stamped on the side, this must be the model since you guys are talking about A1,2,3's?????? Anybody have any input?

Thanks
