heavy bullets in a 264 win mag

i have a new M70 featherweight in 264 WM arriving tomorrow. threw together some loads to get it on paper with using some lapua 155gr megas i had kicking around. then i ran across a reference in a manual the other day the the twist rate winchester used doesnt tend to like heavier the 140 grs and might not even stabilize the larger bullets. anyone have any personal experiance contrary to that statement? i don't intend to use heavy bullets other themn just to get it zero'd at a hundred before i start testing the 120 NBT's and 130 NAB's.

I had a 264 built with a 1 in 9 twist with the idea to shoot 120 barnes ttsx.

I have loaded a batch of 140 xlc's which are as long or longer - and it does just fine with them.

I would give her a try.

hi kevin i tried some 160gr hornadys years back. they shoot fine the barrel i have has a 1-9 twist.
