Heavy Lead kinda day

Anyone else find just something satisfying in large, fat, short, ugly & heavy bullets?

Had a quiet afternoon so rolled some of these gorgeously ugly things

9.3x62 with 255gr Geco softpoints over Viht N150 andL

44 mag with 210gr Sierra JHC over H110

Nice! Have you used those 255gr Geko's on game? Are they an affordable option? I have been looking to get a 9.3x62, currently have a box of 270gr Speer bullets on the shelf but am always interested in other options.

I haven't tried the Geco's yet.

They seem to have quite a thin jacket so maybe more of a deer bullet.

They are certainly an affordable option vs things like Norma, Nosler etc.

I will report back on them once our ranges open up.

Heavy lead, pshaw!! Empty casing on the left is a 9MM , 1st cartridge is a 45Colt , 200g Bullet and the second is a 45-70 with a 500g bullet.

You guys should get into shotgun slug reloading. Uses up lots of lead per drop with the lyman 525s

I am assuming you are shooting these Slugs "Barefoot" (without inserting them in a Wad).

Are you shooting them out a smooth or Rifled Barrel ?

Did you noticed any difference in performance between the Powder coated to non Powder coated ?

I shoot them in wads and through smooth bore, the mold comes in 2 forms, 1 for wads and 1 without, the one without throws larger slugs.

Accuracy is good (no diff with pc) through my fab arm stf 11" shotgun but only ever shot them to 50 yards.
