Heavy tapered recoil lug and chassis fitment problem

Hey,
I recently had Casey at Tac Ord put a new benchmark barrel and a heavy tapered precision recoil lug (similar to the Holland)on my Remington 700. When I got it back the tapered recoil lug doesn't fit in my MDT lss chassis. I contacted them and only their new ESS or whatever chassis is compatible with a lug that's oversized and tapered like that. My question is does anyone have suggestions of some other chassis that would fit? I was looking at the Cadex field core, but I'm waiting to hear if it would even work.
Thanks

I don't understand why the oversize lugs were ever invented other than for somebody to sell their theory. It has not been demonstrated they do anything better than the factory lugs ... they weigh more and require additional inletting...

Is the lug too long or too thick.

Looking at it a different way
chassis cost $600 plus the lug cost $50...grind the lug to fit.

Yeah if it was a stock I would just dremel it out and bed it, but I've got an MDT lss chassis so I'm not gonna do that. In hindsight I would not have put this lug on. I just would have went with a nice stainless steel regular profile afternarket lug. From what I inderstand these lugs were designed for bedding into a stock and not meant for chassis systems. Doh! It's the taper design that prevents it from fitting. Fine at the bottom, over 1/8 out on either side of the top of the lug. I'm just going to carefully take off some material on the lug. Hope others learn from this! Thanks
