Seems weird that they'd be "going under" with a new contract with the USMC (not a small customer) as well as the French and Norwegians to equip them with 416's.

Also, I guess that's the bite in the arse for not committing to a civilian market.

The SFP9-SD 9mm looks great but they forget to put suppressor height sights on it as standard. And there mags are expensive.
 
Hard to believe with the contracts that they’ve won and they’re still failing financially. But I don’t know what they really expected in today’s market. Price is everything now a days and when something like the VP9 is just under $1000 bucks and something like the APX or Sig 320 is right around the $650 mark they just can’t survive on their name anymore.
 
Regardless of their policies, it's always sad to see a firearms company in distress.
They have some great advances in firearms technology and design in the past.
 
Read the real financial statements instead of reading the Toronto Star for economic news. As long as HK keeps selling and containing costs ( which I bet is mostly expensive German payoll and tax ), the company will go on and service its debt.
 
They keep shouting themselves in the foot by taking forever to market to civilians like if they would ship some sfp9Optics Ready they would sell boatloads of them.
