Heckler&Koch G36 bolt release.

Good Day,

I just find out that H&K produce a upgraded version of the G36K for the Norwegen army, it's called G36KV. The interesting point of that version is the XM8 type, bolt catch/release. I am wondering if anyone know if that part is available to buy, somewhere?

It would be beneficial for both, G36 and SL8 users in Canada.

The original was called the cobra catch, if you search it on HK Pro you can find lots about it. Seems HK liked the idea, and started incorporating it.

That's an hell of a job you did Hellpit, congrats! I'm wondering, did you experience some malfunction due to the heavier weight of the part? Is the bolt always old open when you hit the last round?


I'm having a hard time to find that part for sale... Do you have theses for sale Hellpit?

No malfunctions and works flawlessly. Took a little tuning to get it just right.

None for sale, I don't have a CNC mill to hump these out to make it worth wile.

If I was to make another one, I would probably try to make the front surface area a little wider, to help prevent the "dreaded crack". My rifle still has no crack however.
