Heckler & Koch MR223A3 question

Anyone have a suggestion for a sling and mounting solution that will fit the sling plate at the rear of the MR223A3 receiver?

I have tried a Magpul MS3 Gen 2 and a old school Blue Force Gear hook. Neither fit. The hook fits but binds against the receiver and the Magpul latch won't even close around the sling plate.

Loop a paracord into it.

How is the adjustable gas block? improves the rifle by quite a lot? or not much difference?
How does the 416's gas block fit onto the MR223? Thought the MR223's barrel was much thicker

To my knowledge the mr223 is thicker than the 416 barrel behind the gas block. I could be wrong. Alternatively knowing mildot that may be an actual a5 upper.

As for the adjustable unit. To my knowledge the primary benefit is suppressor use. Again. I'll let the owners correct me if I'm wrong.

Classic 416 10.4s were overgassed. Iirc the mr223a3s not as much. Without a can on i dont forsee tangible benefits to the adjustable block beyond bragging rights

It's a 416A5 upper, no worries they are almost the same. Adj block would be useful if we had suppressors.

what does the leaf spring in the rear lug of the upper receiver do in these rifles?

Unless I'm mistaken you are referring to the spring on the rear lug where the receivers mate? That would be to tighten the slop between the receivers. If that's not what you are referring to please post a picture.

Who carries (or can and will order) miscellaneous small HK parts? My MR223 has pooped the bed during a recent range trip, shedding the small pin that secures the Ambi Mag Release Lever on the Left side of the Mag Well. As a result, both the Pin and the Ambi Mag Release Lever are AWOL and need to be replaced. The standard Right-hand Mag Release still functions 100%, but the missing pieces are aggravating my OCD....

Page #8 (page number written on pages, not total page number) part #10.

And so basically if you lose this part, it doesnt really matter? Mine is kinda loose.

how did that happen? And yes, definitely would be nice to have access to some parts and replacements here in Canada.

I know the mr556 and mr223 don't have the same barrel extension. Do either of them use the same extension as a 416. And are ar15 barrel extensions compatible with either the mr556 or the mr223?

Oh bartok german gun works in germany should be able to ship the parts out to you.

Mr556 is old HK416 which is the same style as AR15, MR223A3 is HK416A5's.
