I was fortunate enough to acquire one of these last fall and in all ways it is a superior semi-auto DMR. The only disappointment was the case that it came in....and $200 mags. I would buy it again.

I assume you are referring to 7.62x51 NATO, you should have no problem running it through a 308WIN rifle.

The HK MRs that are made in Germany are chambered for the Nato rounds 5.56/7.62. To export them to Canada, HK had to put 223/308 on it for politic purposes, it looks less military for public ownership.
