Heckler & Koch P8 A1 9mm

It’s just a USP with a conventionally rifled barrel. Shoots identical to a USP, grip feels like a 2x4, and it’s big; not Mk23 big, but still quite large for a 9mm. It’s typical H&K, built like a tank but if you need spares be prepared to wait and fork out $.

Note that the safety is opposite to that of other HK pistols. I think I prefer the orientation of the P8.

Both of these guys are correct, I had one I got in a trade and took it to the range and loved but put it on the ee out of boredom for alot more then it was worth and someone bought it within 20 minutes. Great gun I've had usp' s before it so I knew what I was getting into i find the grip more blocky then the glock but the gun itself feels alot better then glock. I would buy another one eigther the p8 or the usp for me it wouldnt matter which just which one I found first for the best price.

Rock solid, the P8 has a few small changes for the Bundeswehr like the safety is opposite (down SAFE, up FIRE) and no decocker. Also has land and groove rifling rather than polygonal. I'm trying to remember but I think they come with luminous sights aswell rather than standard dots.

I love HK but its true. Good luck finding parts for your HK. I have a P2000 and its a tank but i know if i ever need parts im up sh*t creek.

I'm interested in picking up this piece. Anyone here ever shot one, or have any insight as to how durable this model is?

It's the standard issue sidearm of the german armed forces.

Basically it's a usp with conventional rifling instead of polygonal rifling. The safety goes the other way than the usp. Doesn't have a decocker iirc. And trit sights are standard.

Reliability. Dead reliable like any other hk handgun. Mags are same as usp.

As mentioned parts can be a pita to get through warranty. And generally not very cheap... fortunately they go on for a long time before breaking stuff. Little pro tip. Since irunguns or another vendor that shall remain unnamed here can bring parts in from tue us this is a smaller issue now. Or you know. Vacation to the us is always a possibility.

To decock one must press down, over the S position. It requires too much force, in my opinion, compared to a SIG. The sights are luminous, but no tritium. The chamber is normal, not like the P30 chamber which is stepped (better in my opinion because it seals better)
