It's back!

It's a great match with some of the best campsites anywhere. If you haven't shot silhouette before, have no fear and give it a go. Just bring your rifle and some ammo :lol:

Never tried any competitions. Complete beginners acceptable.
It would be interesting if my rifle arrives in time. Border issues.
And if I am able to find some powder, ect.
Do you have to have a PAL to enter. I’ve got one but my son doesn’t. And we would have to share a rifle.

Complete beginners are more than acceptable :). You'd be teamed up with someone with some spotting experience to get you on target quickly. It's a great bunch of people and is a huge amount of fun. You should definitely give it a try.

Your son not having a PAL shouldn't be a problem as far as I know, as the law allows people without PALs to shoot as long as they are being supervised.

I'm not sure who has powder in stock, but maybe Rusty Woods in Mission.

I'm planning on making it down for the shoot. I'm trying out some new loads this week for my 45-70 rolling block. This will be my second BPCR silhouette shoot. I had a blast at the last one in Alberta. Nothing like a boom, smoke and watching a ram fall a few seconds later.
 
Well I was waiting to see if anyone would post the Heffley scores, so seeing as I am still waiting for parts for my rifle I will put them up hoping no one will mind. It was an absolute good time to say the least. Weather was a bit" iffy" so the the firing line was moved back a bit to be under shelter at one point. The score card is a little difficult to read but if you look closely on the second row on day two a jaw dropping 35 was scored !!! Awesome shooting ...Well try as I may I can't post the photo till I figure out how to resize it enough ,I will try again tomorrow.......
 
Yeah that was my highest score ever by a good bit. When I was shooting the chickens it felt like there was a sniper with a suppressed rifle hidden in the trees knocking them down for me :) :). I think it had to do with us moving under cover due to the rain. Standing on the perfectly level concrete seemed to make chickens a lot easier for me than when standing on the uneven grass.

To be fair though, in all of the years I've shot there, that was the only time I've ever seen no wind all day long. On all 30 of the prone animals I don't think I made any real wind corrections. I maybe held off a minute or two max. That Shiloh is a pretty good shooting rifle too :).

It appears as I do not belong to any photo sharing website or Team program I can not post any photos. I will look to see if maybe I am missing something and post the scores if I sort it out .Sorry
