I was at the range the other day, and managed to scrounge up a ton of 7.62 NATO brass. Woohoo! Well, I get home, and toss the brass in the cleaner.

Today, I take the brass outside, and try to decap. *snap* wtf? Maybe these things are REALLY crimped in there. So I take the next one real slow. It starts to give, so I figure I've got it. *snap* - WTF!?!

Turns out it was berdan primed

oops. At least decapping pins are cheap

Same stuff bit me too. I was lucky that I had hornady dies and the decap pin just got forced up. Couldn't figure out why the primers where in so tight!

Hey don't feel bad - out of the last 200 IVI cases that I resized, I went through four decapping pins - now I'm all out
