Heinie Stright 8 sights

I am thinking of installing a pair of these on my HK45. Has anyone have any experience with them? I must admit I do prefer this style over 3 dot and think that they are faster to use too. How are they accuracy wise? I know they are more of a combat sight versus an adjustable target sight but I still like to be able to hit small target and shoot tight groups on paper if I am in that mood.

I'm a fan. Had them on a previous 1911. Though my main preference is a blacked out rear, I prefer the dot over dot to 3 dot and did find them faster for me.

I put some Heinie's in my Ruger 1911. I went with a tritium front dot and a serrated slant pro rear (straight eight rear without the dot). Good quality, and big improvement over a 3 dot set IMO. It takes all of the effort out of focusing on the front sight.

Could you not just black out the two rear dots on a normal 3 dot set up and get that effect too then?

For sure. I needed to switch them out for elevation anyway.
