Got a 460V, hella of a gun and a mean looking SOB too!
You can fire 45 Colt, 454 Casul and 460 S&W Magnum.
While I can't comment on 45 Colt, the 454 Casul is a pussy cat in the X-Frame.
Full house 460 loads are like setting off a bomb at the indoor range and did I mention FUN!
So no you shouldn't buy one

They have one in wholesale sports in Calgary. It emasculates anyone who holds it...
I have a buddy that I shoot with who has one so I can use it whenever he brings it to the range. I have shot it a least 200 hundred times, mostly with 45 Colt ammo. I am not crasy about shooting the full house 460 loads but the 45 Colt are very nice to shoot. He has the 8 and 3/8 inch barrel model with the front fiber optic sight. It is a very accurate gun. I did not think I would care for it when he told me he was buying it but I was very surprised and if I came across a used one in good condition that was a fair price I would buy it.

Three words: MASSIVE HAND CANNON!!
A guy at my range has one. Brings it out every so often and lets people fire a round through it (the Hornady .460 rounds are crazy expensive). It will also function as a more normal revolver with .45 Long Colt or .454 Casul.
When you fire it (with the Hornady .460 rounds), it gives off a kind of 360 degree shockwave of BOOM! Huge muzzleflash as well. I've posted something like this before, but this might give you some idea:
Regular .45 ACP ammo:
GLOCK 19 9mm with some `flashy` ammo:
Short barrel 12 guage:
Shorty AR-15 with muzzlebreak (a known "big boom" combination):

I shot one yesterday. Nice gun. Its a big gun, Kinda got a hell boy look to it. Shoots nice. Would I get one? Hell Yeah.
Great muzzle flash shots bro! WOW! I have held and shot the gun at DVC Ventures in Poco...A wicked machine to say the least! Don't stand beside the person firing as the blast shock wave is MASSIVE!
To bad a regular joe can't have one as a wilderness defense or hunting sidearm. I sure would like one holstered for fishing around BC.

Kinda feels like you're being punched in the face when you fire it... fun to shoot but I'd never buy one. Far too impractical... gun cost, ammo cost... makes you tremble after you shoot it... but you gotta shoot it at least once just to say you did.
Ya, I own one of those big daddy bad boys and it is as much fun to watch as it is to shoot..............I took a co-worker to the range last weekend, He knew about my hand cannon and he wanted to shoot it.......well to make a long story short he went home with a sore hand,eyes as big as dinner plates and holding his n#t$ he also had a really big grin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me? well I had a blast, pun intented...................it was a good day!!

I own both the .460 and the .500 - love both.
700gr hard cast out of .500 and I'm waiting for 500gr .460 mould
I don't have a 460,
yet but I do have a 500. It is a 'handful' and as I've mentioned before, it has the ability to inflict pain, at both ends. To 'tame' it down a little I've put on a set of modified Jordan Trooper stocks that were originally for a model 29 S&W. I've posted some of this before but here goes again.
I have selection of both cast and jacketed bullets and it seems to shoot well with anything that's put through it, light or heavy loads.
Wow! I knew I would regret holding that thing! Thanks for the responses, I guess. $1400??? If I see a shrink I would have to pay that much or more so maybe I should just buy it!

Jason Yuke had one, I used to make the backstop ring at the MCO with it. It is a bit brisk with full power 460 loads but an absolute joy in 454 Casull.
Damn, I should have tried mine with 454 Casull loads before I sold it. I did load some full house .460 loads for it - what a blast!!!! I also shot it with 45 Colt ammunition...it felt like a .22 after those 460 loads.
