Just got back from our trip to Texas and it was great.
We went with Divided Find Ranch (Helicopter Hog Hunting). The experience was excellent. The facility was amazing and the staff were fantastic.
We did a morning of helicopter hunting and then a night predator shoot.
For me, the most surreal experience was flying along a major highway, with suppressed AR15 rifles hanging out the side of the aircraft. Not something you'd ever get to do in Canada.
The helicopter hunting was much more challenging than I had expected. We were hunting hilly land with deep draws, all covered a fairly thick brush and mesquite trees. This was very different from the open fields I had expected. Both the hogs and the helicopter are moving and the animals flit in and out of brushy cover constantly.
While the trip was fairly expensive, it is something I'd consider doing again in a couple of years.
