hey everyone,
i'm Joe, from calgary ab. i've always been interested in firearms and i plan on doing the courses and getting the PAL/RPAL soon.
been browsing the forums for the last few days and there seems to be a ton of info to take in. I guess i'd better go find a real job soon because this doesnt look like a cheap hobby :p

Hey Joe_161 welcome aboard from a fellow Calgarian !!
I would suggest that you take your PAL at AHEIA ( www .aheia.com/serve_content.cfm?Page=Calgary%20Conv#D ) they also have Rpal class too, the Sept. dates are not listed on their site yet. Also both safety manuals are the 10th sticky in the legalese so you can start reading and studying ! As for a real job... any job counts it is all in the budgeting, kraft diner anyone :D

G'day from Edmonton. This hobby can be cheaply done, but not for long :)

Here's how it works. 3 simple steps.

1. You go into your local gun store to buy a cheap box of .22's and maybe a 99 cent whistle. Then you start to look around.

2. At some point, you see something, and say "awe s**t" to yourself

3. You walk out of the store, credit card still smoking, sit down in your car and try to figure out what the hell just hapened :)
