Hello!

I joined CGN a few days ago and been trolling around. I've been around firearms a lonnng time and also use one on the job. I'm just waiting for my licence in the mail to acquire some for personal use.

My question for you know-it-alls, I want something fun and cheap, and want to get a rimfire. I want to either get the SR-22 or the Mossberg .22 tactical. Mossberg seems quite a bit cheaper then the Ruger, but I know Ruger's are reliable. Any tips?

:)

Your first? A standard 10/22 (the same rifle inside the SR-22 body) will cost around the same as the Mossberg, give you total reliablity and enough money left to buy lot's of practice ammo.

This would be my first purchased firearm. Definitely not new to guns, but still want to buy something easy for my wife to get into (she took a firearms course as well). That's why I was thinking a 10/22 or the Mossberg.

The sr-22 is over priced. Buy a 10/22. However if you do, I know you'll mod it. The 10/22 is a honda civic. Pimp it the way you like. The sr-22 is alot more and you'll end up modding it just like the 10/22 so buy a 10/22 and save.
I have the mossberg 22. Chopped the top and front sight. I like it cause it's wicked light and AR-15 looking. If you want metal, please buy another gun. However, this gun rocks cause there is no add-ons needed.

My first was a sr22 was pretty fun. Got lots of looks. Was really heavy but is metal unlike the mossy. I would recommend the sr if you want that look in a rifle
