Hello CGN,
I never imagined I would be a member here, but it is an honor, I never thought I would have the patience to deal with insane Canadian "gun laws".
But political matters aside, I'm a very young guy from BC living in the North Shore area and want to join this community, and learn from all of you with more experience, maybe even being able to contribute a bit because I am a complete firearms nerd. ~1890 to modern prototypes I can name and categorize just about every firearm/caliber, WW2 is my main interest.
When my RPAL arrives in the mail my first goal is to buy a sniper SVT40, I love Russian guns and WW2 history so it is a natural choice. When you combine semi-auto .30cal magazine fed firepower, ridiculously cheap surplus ammunition, Russian durability and the history of a well preserved 75 year old firearm you can't go wrong IMO
In the meantime I'm looking for a place to go plinking in the woods around where I live, but with Vancouver to the south, Prov. Parks everywhere and watersheds covering almost all the land north of where I live the only directions left is past PoCo, which is where the only range in the region is anyway. There's a practically already built 150m range with backstop nowhere near water but the only way there is through an access road
If anyone knows any good plinking spots around this area please feel free to share,
